The moment we saw Lucille, we said “Oh, isn’t that cute? She’s licking the window!”. Little did we know that that licking would never stop. As her 3rd owners and furever home, we had some work to do. But she was an active participant and we knew she was the right girl for us – just the right amount of sweet and sassy. She cuddled on her terms (usually only if there was a food incentive). She loved other dogs, especially her friend Charlie and her sister Luna. This dog loved food. A Lot. Our parents watched her once and had to put up the food bowls of their own dogs because Lucille thought it was a “buffet”. She had a gruff, southern voice and would often change the words to songs on the radio – especially if they rhymed with “bone”. She was smart and knew how to cut her eyes to get more attention or food. With her webbed feet, she was an excellent swimmer and loved the river. She was the most loyal and best girl. She’s left a huge hole in our hearts. Love & miss you, little baby.
